The first women’s World Cup ski jumping competition in Lake Placid (USA), scheduled for the start of the day but postponed until late afternoon due to poor weather conditions, took place in good conditions.

Overall leader, Slovenia’s Nika Prevc (130 and 124.5 metres) scored a major coup by dominating this competition. She finished ahead of Norway’s Eirin Maria Kvandal (123 and 125 metres) by 12.1 points and Canada’s Alexandria Loutitt (125.5 and 121 metres) by 22.5 points.

In fifth place, Germany’s Agnes Reisch, with a second jump measured at 130.5 metres, is the new springboard record holder. Finally, in the French clan, Joséphine Pagnier (118.5 and 110 metres) came sixteenth and Emma Chervet (107.5 and 103 metres) twenty-fourth.
