Ski jumping : Nika Prevc off to a flying start
After the opening mixed competition on the Lillehammer ski jump (Norway) on Friday evening, the first individual events of the Ski Jumping World Cup took place in Scandinavia on Saturday. And it was the women who got the ball rolling.

Nika Prevc, winner of her first crystal globe last year, has not lost her good habits, as the Slovenian crushed the day’s competition. With jumps of 138.5 and 138 metres, the 19-year-old made her mark with a masterful first win.
Behind her, the Germans Katharina Schmid (123 and 129.5 metres) and Selina Freitag (135.5 and 129.5 metres) completed the top 3 ahead of local Anna Odine Stroem (125 and 133 metres).

In the French clan, Joséphine Pagnier put in a fine second run to claw back a few places in the rankings. Jumping 112.5 and 118.5 metres in this competition, the Doubienne finally came eighteenth in this first competition. Also competing on Saturday, Emma Chervet was disqualified in the morning qualifying round.
