Last winter, German ski jumper Markus Eisenbichler, six-time world champion, never managed to climb the World Cup. Restricted to the continental cup, he only shone at the end of the season, taking two victories at Iron Mountain (USA) and Lahti (Finland).
After a convincing summer of training, the triple world medallist in ski flying has regained the confidence of the staff led by Stefan Horngacher, as he has been included in the German squad for the opening World Cup in Lillehammer (Norway).
Karl Geiger, Stephan Leyhe, Pius Paschke, Philipp Raimund, young Adrian Tittel and Andreas Wellinger have also been selected.
