Late on Saturday morning, the first competition of the women’s ski jumping world cup took place in Ljubno (Slovenia). On the HS94 ski jump, it was the young Slovenian Nika Prevc (90.5 and 95 metres) who won on home soil.
In her yellow bib, she beat Germany’s Selina Freitag (89 and 94.5 metres) by 17.4 pts.

Norway’s Thea Minyan Bjoerseth (97 and 94.5 metres), in the lead after the first run, completed the podium despite falling on her second jump. Visibly injured, she was evacuated from the finish area on a stretcher.

In the French camp, Joséphine Pagnier (82.5 and 90.5 metres) finished in fourteenth place thanks to a fine second jump. Emma Chervet from Chamonix (74.5 metres) failed to reach the final round. She finished in thirty-fifth place.
