Norway’s Line Jahr is a pioneer of women’s ski jumping. She was present at the start of the discipline’s first international competitions, and has made seventy starts in the World Cup, five in the World Championships, including silver in the mixed event in 2015, and one in the Olympic Games, finishing ninth in 2014.
From the generation of Austrian Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, Line Jahr has been at the forefront of women’s ski jumping. After retiring from the sport in 2016, she took charge of the Norwegian Ski Association’s 2026 Project. This summer, the Norwegian took on a new role as assistant coach of the US women’s national team alongside head coach Trevor Edlund.
“Apart from coaching, Line Jahr enjoys running and cross-country skiing with her dog, Lisa. They even take part in dog agility competitions together”, explains USA Ski Jumping.
