Early on Saturday morning, the ladies got the ball rolling in Sapporo (Japan) in the first event of the ski jumping world cup weekend. Alexandria Loutitt scored her second victory of her career on the circuit with a perfect competition (127 and 131 metres).

Behind her, the surprise came from Lisa Eder (120 and 131 metres). Eleventh after the first run, the Austrian made a magnificent comeback to finish second. Just 0.8 points behind, Norway’s Eirin Maria Kvandal (125.5 and 129 metres) completed the podium. Overall leader Katharina Schmid (127.5 and 123.5 metres) was sixth.
On the French side, Emma Chervet (110.5 and 99.5 metres) scored another point by finishing thirtieth. Joséphine Pagnier, the first non-qualifier for the second heat, was thirty-first.
