Ski jumping: Joséphine Pagnier and Valentin Foubert lead the French team
On Tuesday afternoon, the French Ski Federation (FFS ) unveiled the long-awaited composition of the federal groups for the 2025/2026 season. In ski jumping, eleven athletes make up the new French team squads (before the Excellence 2030 squads are announced).
For several weeks now, there have been rumours that 20-year-old Franco-Austrian Louis Obersteiner, Junior World Team Champion in 2023 and winner of three FIS Cup podiums this season with the Wünderteam, was about to change flag.
The unveiling of the French teams has confirmed the rumours, with the boy from Contamines-Montjoie (Haute-Savoie) making up the men’s A group alongside Valentin Foubert, Enzo Milesi, Ari Repellin and Jules Chervet. Nicolas Dessum and David Viry are their coaches.
On the women’s side, there are no surprises in the shape of Joséphine Pagnier and Emma Chervet, coached by the Damien Maitre/Jan Matura tandem. Finally, the French B team, coached by Yoann Morel, includes Marie Thomas-Couturaud, Julien Gay, Faustin Moureaux and Alessandro Batby.
