On Sunday evening, the final competition of the fourth weekend of the ski jumping world cup season took place in Titisee-Neustadt, Germany, close to the Swiss and French borders. Pius Paschke was once again the overall leader on the circuit.
Having had the season of his life so far, the German is still on cloud nine. Winner for the fifth time this winter, the man who had only won once in the elite competition before this winter continues to impress after landing his two jumps at 141.5 and 142 metres on the evening.
Behind him was Michael Hayboeck. The Austrian, with two jumps of 145 and 143 metres, came very close to his first World Cup success after eight years. However, the 33-year-old came up 0.4 points short. He still finished ahead of Norway’s Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal (143 and 140 metres).

The only Frenchman in contention, Valentin Foubert found a place in a final round after a premature exit on the first jump of the evening. Twenty-third in the rankings, the Courchevel native put in a fine performance with jumps of 126 and 131 metres respectively. Fifty-sixth and fifty-seventh the previous day in the qualifying round, Enzo Milesi and Jules Chervet failed to secure their tickets for Sunday’s competition.
