Ski jumping: an unprecedented double for Nika Prevc
Late on Friday afternoon, the women’s ski jumping competition took place on the big hill at the world championships in Trondheim (Norway). In a very special competition, which was stopped after the first run because of the wind, Slovenia’s Nika Prevc (134.5 metres) once again proved to be imperious.

She won by more than 14 points over Germany’s Selina Freitag (131 metres). Norway’s Eirin Maria Kvandal (136 metres) rounded off the podium. The 19-year-old jumper takes her second world title after her victory on the small hill. She is also the first jumper to achieve this double at the same World Championships.

In the French camp, Joséphine Pagnier took twentieth place with a jump of 112.5 metres. Emma Chervet from Chamonix was unable to express herself in these difficult conditions, finishing in thirty-ninth place with a jump of 88.5 metres.
