Monday afternoon saw the second women’s ski jumping world cup competition in Villach (Austria). On this Epiphany day, a public holiday in Austria, it was local skier Eva Pinkelnig (95.5 and 97 metres) who came out on top.

Second after the first jump, she closed the gap on Nika Prevc (90n5 and 93 metres), third on the day, to win in front of her home crowd. Germany’s Katharina Schmid (91.5 and 90 metres), who made a fine comeback, took second place and kept her yellow bib.
