Ski jumping: Valentin Foubert and Enzo Milesi off the points in Willingen
On Sunday afternoon, the second men’s competition of the weekend took place on the big hill in Willingen (Germany). Although the two French competitors qualified for the competition, neither Valentin Foubert (thirty-fourth) nor Enzo Milesi (forty-first) were able to make the cut to score points in the final round.

A far cry from the 150 metres achieved by Daniel Tschofenig in the first heat! The Austrian thus took the lead of the competition ahead of Johann Andre Forfang (147 metres), who has been in fine form in recent competitions. Stefan Kraft (143 metres) completed the provisional podium, but it was already looking very complicated for him and the others to take the top two places in the final.
Daniel Tschofenig: the imperial eagle
While Jan Hoerl (144 and 148.5 metres) shook up the established order by moving up from sixth to third place, his two rivals in front did not falter. Unperturbed, Forfang and Tschofenig rested at 152 and 148 metres. But victory did not go to the longest jump of the day, a new springboard record: the Norwegian had to lose out again to the Austrian.

Daniel Tschofenig took victory and a small lead in the overall World Cup standings over his team-mate Jan Hoerl, who was third on the day. Austrians Stefan Kraft (143 and 144.5 metres) and Maximilian Ortner (139 and 149 metres) completed the top 5.
As with the French, Killian Peier and Remo Imhof did not reach the final. Their Swiss compatriot Gregor Deschwanden (139.5 and 139 metres), on the other hand, scored more points by finishing eleventh.
