11:03. Assistant coach of the Austrian women’s national team since December 2021, Thomas Diethart, surprise winner of the 2014 Four Hills Tournament, has been appointed head coach of the squad to replace Bernhard Metzler, who has resigned.
TheAustrian Ski Association made the announcement on Thursday morning. “The team is very well organised and our work has worked well in recent years. The main objective will be for each athlete to be able to exploit his or her potential to the full, so that the results will be there and we will be successful at the 2026 Olympic Games,” he explained in a press release.
