The Czech Ski Association has announced to the FIS that it will not be able to organize the World Cup event initially scheduled for January 31 to February 2, 2025 at the Nove Mesto facilities (Czech Republic). A major blow that is the result of economic problems, according to a statement from the world body.
The time has now come for the organizers to seek an alternative solution. Several options are being evaluated by the FIS and various stakeholders in the cross-country skiing world. However, we will have to wait a bit longer before knowing the location that will host the event this winter.
«A solution will be presented during the FIS autumn meetings, from September 24 to 27» notes the International Ski Federation. It is worth noting that the World Cup will start on November 29 in Ruka, Finland.
