XC Skiing: riding the best season in Team USA history
The next XC skiing season is beginning to take shape on the horizon and most teams are currently in full preparation. The American cross-country skiers are no exception. In a press release, Uncle Sam’s federation has just confirmed its selection for the upcoming winter.
No surprises, the key players are present. For starters, Jessie Diggins will try to keep her large crystal globe. The 33-year-old skier will be accompanied by Rosie Brennan and Julia Kern. Also joining them are Sophia Laukli and Samantha Smith, who are making their first appearance in the main group.
On the men’s side, Ben Ogden and James Schoonmaker welcome Gus Schumacher to the A team. After a successful season, Team USA is determined to continue in the same vein, as highlighted by Chris Grover, director of the discipline: “This group will start the 2024/2025 season with great confidence. The world of American cross-country skiing is dynamic, and they are working harder than ever. We are eager to see these talented athletes perform on the tracks.”
